President Trump may have a shred of deceny. The people of Flint have been traumazied enough...

...and then there are the Legionnaires deaths. There is a great deal wrong with what occurred in Flint, including the lack of water buffering and sanitation. The water treatment plant was never fitted with the measures necessary to make the Flint River water safe. The buffering is federally documented, but, the turbidity was not documented which raises many, many questions.

Lansing – President Donald Trump’s administration (click here) conducted a brief review of Environmental Protection Agency grants but never ordered a “freeze” on new awards, a spokesman said Thursday, downplaying fears that pledged federal aid for the Flint water crisis could be jeopardized.
New grant awards “were never stopped, actually,” said Doug Ericksen of the EPA transition team. “Nothing was canceled, nothing was delayed.”
Reports earlier this week of a temporary halt for new grants and contracts were largely based on emails the administration had sent to agency staff. But Ericksen suggested the purported freeze was “highly exaggerated” by the media and “overzealous career employees” at the EPA....

There was also a death by suicide of one the water plant foreman. The necessary measures to buffer the water that would have prevented the lead from leaching into the water was not the responsibility of a foreman. Yet he is dead anyway. The entire reality was too much for him and he was not responsible for the children's poisoning or the deaths. He carried out his job.

You know, we all look for that one job that fits a life of happiness, opportunity and the American Dream. When all of a sudden a different reality hits people should not take it on themselves as the reason; there is usually something greater at work. A good job should never turn into a nightmare because of others' mistakes, hatred and negligence.

The necessary equipment to handle the sediment in the water due to turbidity was never even mentioned anywhere in any investigation. The turbidity is due to water flow into the intake pipe. It is my estimation at this point the intake pipe in Flint was receiving water from the immediate river flow as well as upstream headwaters. In addition to the headwaters, backflow water from the "Shiawassee River" was most likely part of that intake water.

It almost doesn't matter at this point where the water was being drawn from, except, in court cases perhaps. The turbidity varied due to the changing levels of the Flint River and any water recharge from upstream and downstream.

I wish all the people of Flint happiness as they can find it. Children are great sources of happiness and moving past the tragedy to see the real face of a child regardless the disability is pure joy. Children are innocent. They are a treasure for the heart.

A Brazilian citizen (click here) who authorities say fought alongside Russia-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by a Kyiv court.

The Brazilian was convicted of creating a "terrorist organization" and "recruiting mercenaries for terrorists," the Pechersk district court said in a statement.

The January 25 statement did not name the man or say when he was sentenced.

Ukrainian media, including outlets based in separatist-held territory in eastern Ukraine, have reported that his name is Rafael Lusvarghi and that he was arrested upon arrival at Kyiv's Boryspil International Airport in October 2016.

Ukraine calls the conflict in its eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions an "antiterrorist operation," and officials often refer to forces on the separatist side as "terrorists."...

What was he doing there?

We have some bad news with a possible silver lining. (click here)

Rafael has been found guilty by the illegitimate Kiev regime and sentenced to 13 years in Jail.

While this is the last thing we all want to here, especially considering the inhuman and illegal conditions he is subjected to, we hear that this means he may be eligible for prisoner transfer or exchange for Ukrops held by the DNR, LNR or The Russian Federation.

Again please help make the world aware of Rafael's plight in any way you can....

...He is believed to be the first non-Russian to be convicted and sentenced by Ukraine for alleged crimes relating to the war, which has killed more than 9,750 people in eastern Ukraine since April 2014....

Was the Brazilian government aware of this case and if so did they try to reply?

Everyone remembers when the Brazilian government moved worlds and funds to try to save a Brazilian convicted of drug trafficking in Indonesia. Even drug trafficking being a type of crime with negative consequences that can affect countless people, being practiced mainly by social parasites, our government has made an immense effort to try to interfere in this case.

Not only the government, but all the television, print and virtual media made efforts in this endeavor. Several NGOs mobilized to try to force a totally uncalled-for and unnecessary "solidarity" with a nobody whose crime served to cause numbness, innocent deaths and social degradation.

Considering the precedent, why the silence regarding Rafael Lusvarghi, then?

No surprise here. Putin was completely ignorant about cyber hacking while Secretary Clinton's election was sabotaged.

Imagine that. The idiots that cooperated with Putin to hack the DNC are now being arrested and Putin is making a phone call to Trump on Saturday.

Is it tomorrow in Russia yet? No yet. About six more hours.

Russia will provide an offer to Trump that it will allow American exploration of oil in the Arctic and there will be another reset. Astonishing development, right?

A series of surprising arrests (click here) of some of Russia's top cybersecurity figures has left the international cybersecurity officials and analysts wondering whether Russia is cleaning house of suspected spies, or going through an internal shakeup of the FSB, Russia's national security service.
At some point in December, Ruslan Stoyanov, a well-respected researcher with the Moscow-based Kaspersky Lab, and Sergei Mikhailov, head of the FSB's Center of information Security, were arrested by Russian police as part of what Russia's Kommersant newspaper described as a probe into possible treason. No date of arrest has been made public, though Kommersant reported that Stoyanov last logged into his private social media account on December 4, and Mikhailov on December 5. The Moscow-based Novaya Gazeta newspaper cited sources as saying Mikhailov was arrested during a meeting with other FSB officers in Moscow, and was taken from the room with a sack over his head....

Russia's refining sites, etc.

ExxonMobile is convinced they know about Russia than Russia does. I would be surprised if ExxonMobile didn't have completely different maps than these.
Natural resources map.

State ExxonMobile has more information for Russia allows it to frack and drill without any problems. When ExxonMobile comes up empty the only problem they have is catching a plane; while the Russia people will be left with mess including seismic activity where it never existed before.

This is part of the problem. The Russia people have a poor standard of life and a relationship with Russia based on exploitation of natural resources only increases the pollution the people are exposed to.

This is old news. The USA goes into a country, takes what it wants and does nothing to improve the lives of those in that country. China, Nigeria and Equator are good examples. This is typical Republican policy. Child labor? OK. Pollution? OK. Improve quality of life of the people in that country? Not our business.

The story has been around forever.

IS THE USA A MORAL COUNTRY? IS DOING BUSINESS WITH COUNTRIES THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE PEOPLE A MORAL ISSUE FOR THE USA?

NO. The USA is only interested in taking the money and running away.

Guests staying at a modern hotel in Sochi, Russia, (click here) for the 2014 Winter Olympics recall signs in English next to their water faucets that read: “Do not use on your face because it contains something very dangerous.”

Russia spent a staggering $50 billion on the games to impress the world but could not offer visitors a basic: clean water to drink or bathe with.

Sochi’s water is an example of the massive environmental degradation in the former Soviet Union that began in the 1920s when Josef Stalin ordered industrialization at all costs to catch up with the West.

An irony is that although the USSR took hundreds of thousands of environmental shortcuts while industrializing, it never did catch up.

The countries that emerged from the Soviet Union still haven’t caught up with the West, and their pollution continues unabated. The main reason is that, rather than modernizing their industrial and power production, which would increase efficiency and reduce pollution, most continue to use ancient, toxin-generating techniques and equipment — in industry, petroleum, mining and utilities.

As might be expected, the Mr. Big of the former Soviet U....
