Fossil Fuels is the single largest cause of the over abundance of CO2 through emissions.

Add caption
The idea one form of fossil fuel can be substituted for another was appropriate in 1960, today it is antiquated.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) (click here) - Fossil fuel use is the primary source of CO2. The way in which people use land is also an important source of CO2, especially when it involves deforestation. CO2 can also be emitted from direct human-induced impacts on forestry and other land use, such as through deforestation, land clearing for agriculture, and degradation of soils. Likewise, land can also remove CO2from the atmosphere through reforestation, improvement of soils, and other activities.

Methane (CH4) - Agricultural activities, waste management, energy use, and biomass burning all contribute to CH4emissions.

Together fossil fuels, industrial processes (including peat burning, wood burning and slash and burn) and methane comprise 81 percent of all the dangerous gases causing the climate crisis.

By far burning gasoline is the largest contributor to the dangers of the climate crisis.

Ten very dangerous chemicals associated with the petroleum industry.

Fossil Fuel Use: Oil, Coal and Natural Gas
Benzene is a well-established carcinogen with specific links to leukemia as well as breast and urinary tract cancers. Exposure to benzene reduces red and white blood cell production in bone marrow; decreases auto-immune cell function (T-cell and B-cells); and has been linked to sperm-head abnormalities and generalized chromosome aberrations.
Benzene is one of the largest-volume petrochemical solvents used in the fossil fuel industry. It is a major component in all major fossil fuel production: oil, coal and gas.
People are exposed to it from inhaling automobile exhaust and gasoline fumes, industrial burning such as oil and coal combustion, and exposure to fracking fluids...

April 20, 2010. It took over six years to obtain a settlement. How many Americans will receive the benefit of that?

It wasn't obvious? It wasn't like angry Americans blew up the well, BP did it all by itself. If the truth be known, greed blew up the well. Greed with no reverence for life blew up the BP Deepwater Horizon.

Baton Rouge (AP) — Louisiana (click here) is expecting Friday (July 1) to receive $200 million from BP, the first portion of the state's settlement for economic damages associated with the 2010 Gulf Coast oil spill.
Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne updated state officials Thursday about the payment, which is earmarked to fill state budget gaps.
Louisiana is expected to receive up to $1 billion from BP as compensation for the spill's economic damages, with payments to arrive over 15 years. Lawmakers earmarked the rest of the money for the state's "rainy day" fund and an elderly trust fund....

CAFE Standards do more than improve fuel economy, they benefit the general economy with more disposable income.

The majority of crude oil is gasoline for automobiles. There are CAFE Standards to be met by the automobile industry.

Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) (click here)

Enacted by Congress in 1975, CAFE's purpose is to reduce energy consumption by increasing the fuel economy of cars and light trucks. NHTSA has set standards to increase CAFE levels rapidly over the next several years, which will improve our nation’s energy security and save consumers money at the pump. This site contains an immense amount of information about the CAFE program including an overview, rulemaking actions, fleet characteristics data, compliance activities, summaries of manufacturers’ fuel economy performances since 1978, and related studies....

Brent oil (click here) held gains above $50 a barrel as Nigerian militants claimed fresh attacks over the weekend, threatening the country’s efforts to raise output.
Futures rose as much as 0.7 percent in London after advancing 1.3 percent Friday. Niger Delta Avengers said it attacked five crude-pumping facilities overnight Sunday, dealing a blow to government effort to enforce a cease-fire. Shale drillers in the U.S. brought back the most oil rigs of any week this year as confidence in a stabilized market prompts talk of expansion....
Falling US Supply and Congress passed the right for petroleum companies to export. Amazing how Big Oil owns the US Congress.
Brent has recovered about 80 percent since tumbling to a 12-year low in January amid supply disruptions and falling U.S. supply....
Nigerians become upset because of pollution and the impacts of human health. Nigeria is not alone.

Below is regulatory information from the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) of crude oil.

This is it. This is all the regulation of crude oil. The regulations say, please don't pollute our water, don't expose human beings to dangerous conditions. Is it too much to ask?

Is it too much to ask to have Americans safe in their person from contamination of their air, water or food?

PROP 65 WARNING LABEL: Chemicals known to the State to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm are found in gasoline, crude oil, and many other petroleum products and their vapors, or result from their use. Read and follow label directions and use care when handling or using all petroleum products.

In 1986, California voters(click here) approved an initiative to address their growing concerns about exposure to toxic chemicals. That initiative became the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, better known by its original name of Proposition 65. Proposition 65 requires the State to publish a list of chemicalsknown to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 800 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.
Proposition 65 requires businesses to notify Californians about significant amounts of chemicals in the products they purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By providing this information, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about protecting themselves from exposure to these chemicals. Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water....

West Virginia (WSLS 10)  On Sunday, (click here) officials released more information regarding the damage caused by floods and severe weather in West Virginia. According to West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Jimmy Gianato, these are the latest facts and figures:
The State Emergency Operations Center continues to track the potential severe weather threat forecast for this region, in close coordination with the local National Weather Service offices. The SEOC is hosting daily briefings for county and local emergency officials and other responders, and will schedule special weather briefings as warranted.
· A flash flood watch is in effect from the predawn hours of Monday, July 4 through late that night. The watch applies to 21 West Virginia counties including the federal disaster declaration counties of Clay, Jackson, Nicholas, Roane and Webster. A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding....
...Flood survivors may call West Virginia 211, a free information and referral service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They can call 2-1-1 for help finding food, childcare, crisis counseling, and many other resources in their local communities....

This is a molecule of oil. Crude oil. How many carbons are there?

Figure 1. Some examples of organic compounds in petroleum (schematic), from the simplest (methane) to the most complex (asphaltene). Pyrolysis gas-chromatography of kerogen, the precursor of petroleum in source rocks, directly translates to petroleum composition and properties and is used for predictions ahead of drilling.

Every molecule of oil has methane released with it.  This is fossil fuels. It is all organic because the dead dinosaurs and their lagoons were all living and organic.

Petroleum source rocks (click here) can be formed in a variety of depositional environments. Key controls are organic matter production and preservation in the sediment. The organic matter deposited can be of algal, bacterial, or planktonic origin, or stem from terrestrial land plants. In any case, preserved organic matter assemblages can be variable in source rock sequences, depending on input and preservation conditions. Figure 2 shows the macroscopic lithologic variability observed in the Jurassic Posidonia shale, and indicates variability in depositional environment and diagenetic overprint, which in turn can result in organofacies variability. The first step in source rock assessment is thus the detailed investigation of organic facies using pyrolysis techniques....

CO2 concentration levels (click here) in the atmosphere have risen above 400 parts per million for the second year in succession and are likely to stay above this limit for our lifetimes, according to scientists at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii, global record-keeper of carbon emissions since the 1950s.
“Our forecast supports the suggestion that Mauna Loa record will never again show CO2 concentrations below the symbolic 400 ppm within our lifetime,” said a recently-published study, conducted by scientists from UK’s Met Office Hadley Centre and Ralph Keeling of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California, and published in Nature Climate Change.
CO2 levels breached 400 ppm level last year as well, but when scientists last studied the data during September and October 2015, CO2 at Mauna Loa was below 400 ppm (latest reading for week ending June 26, 2016 was 406.23).
“Knowing that CO2 levels have passed this threshold feels quite profound, showing again that humans have made their mark on the Earth’s climate,” Professor Richard Betts of the Met’s Hadley Centre and Exeter University and the lead author of the study told IndiaSpend. “My first reaction was a small sense of nostalgia and even sadness, realising that this was probably the last time those numbers would be measured there.”...
Different fuels emit different amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2)... (click here)

The level of CO2 is important when realizing what danger is exhibited by the climate of Earth today. This is not simply trivial facts, these emissions kill Americans.

There is no war on coal.

The largest private coal mining corporation in America, Murray Energy, has warned it may have to lay off as many as 4,400 employees — some 80 percent of the company's workforce — thanks to a long-term slump in the coal markets.
The Central Appalachian coal price benchmark has sunk to just $40 a ton, about half of its price in 2011, and many major coal producers are declaring bankruptcy. Murray Energy has already laid off about 3,000 workers in the past year, mostly in West Virginia, Illinois, and Ohio.
Controlling owner Robert Murray, a Donald Trump supporter, significantly blamed his company's decline on "the ongoing destruction of the United States coal industry by President Barack Obama, and his supporters," as well as "the increased utilization of natural gas to generate electricity." Bonnie Kristian.

Murray Mining should have been shut down a long, long time ago. Their violations fill a court house. The only reason they were allowed to exist in the face of violation after violation after violation was because of those that were employed.

There is no "War on Coal" unless it is another form of torture dreamed up by Cheney and Bush.

Enough of the lies about the power of environmentalists. There are real reasons coal is shutting down and it has nothing to do with the President Obama.

CO2 has one carbon. There are 75 to 90 single carbons in bituminous coal.

...coal contained (click here) significant carbon, and smaller percentages of the elements hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfurInorganic compounds such as aluminum and silicon oxides constitute the ash. Distillation produced tar, water, and gases. Hydrogen was the chief component of the gases liberated, although ammonia, carbon monoxide and dioxide gases, benzene and other hydrocarbon vapors were present. (The composition of a bituminous coal by percentage is roughly: carbon [C], 75–90; hydrogen [H], 4.5–5.5; nitrogen [N], 1–1.5; sulfur [S], 1–2; oxygen[O], 5–20; ash, 2–10; and moisture, 1–10.) Beginning in 1910, research teams under the direction of Richard Wheeler at the Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, Friedrich Bergius (1884–1949) in Mannheim, and Franz Fischer (1877–1938) in Mülheim made important contributions that indicated the presence of benzenoid (benzenelike) compounds in coal. But confirmation of coal's benzenoid structure came only in 1925, as a result of the coal extraction and oxidation studies of William Bone (1890–1938) and his research team at Imperial College. The benzene tri-, tetra-, and other higher carboxylic acids they obtained as oxidation products indicated a preponderance of aromatic structures with three-, four-, and five-fused benzene rings, and other structures with a single benzene ring. The simplest structures consisted of eight or ten carbon atoms, the fused-ring structures contained fifteen or twenty carbon atoms....
It's Sunday Night...

...oh, say can you see....
There has been the topic of rockets in USA history for a long time. War rockets, not just the kind that fly to outer space.

The national anthem is a really short song, but, challenging to sing as witnessed over the decades.

"The Star Spangled Banner" (click here)

O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,

what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,

whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,

o'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?

And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave

o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

We know they had a “red glare,” (click here) but what kind of rocket did the British fire in 1814?

Americans (click here) know these words: “And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.” The line has a special meaning to me, as the former curator of rocketry at the National Air and Space Museum, because the rockets that inspired Francis Scott Key to write what would become the national anthem represent one of the foundations of modern rocketry. Two hundred years ago this month, Key witnessed the British fleet launching the rockets over Baltimore Harbor during the battle for Fort McHenry, an historic victory that interrupted a string of U.S. defeats during the War of 1812. Today, on the National Air and Space Museum website, you can see a replica of the type of rocket the British used in the battle for Baltimore and throughout the war. The model was given to the Museum in 1976, a birthday present from the Science Museum of London....

Oh, nobody knows but you
How to make me come alive
And oh, my heart explodes
Kaboom
Like rockets in the sky
Are you some kind of mind reader
‘Cause you know all the things to say
You brighten up my darkest days, days yeah
I’m not afraid to say that I need ya
And I know it sounds insane
But boy I never felt this way, way yeah
Three, two, one, look where we are
Got me launching to the stars
Woah, let’s go
And oh, nobody knows but you
How to make me come alive
And oh, my heart explodes
Kaboom
Like rockets in the sky
Hit me like a crash of thunder
Yeah you knocked me off my feet
And promised that you’ll never leave, leave yeah
This must be a spell I’m under
‘Cause if I’m dreaming let me sleep
‘Cause I don’t want to ever break free, no
Three, two, one, look where we are
Got me launching to the stars
Woah, let’s go
And oh, nobody knows but you
How to make me come alive
And oh, my heart explodes
Kaboom
Like rockets in the sky
Like rockets, can’t stop this
Our love is hotter than flames
We’re shooting out of this place, yeah
Like rockets, we got this
And I know it won’t ever change
‘Cause we’re shooting out of this place, oh
Oh, nobody knows but you
How to make me come alive
And oh, my heart explodes
Kaboom
Like rockets in the sky
Boy are you some kind of mind reader
Not afraid to say that I need ya, no, no, no, no, no, no
You hit me like a crash of thunder
This must be a spell that I’m under

Making it easier to kill anyone in the USA.

February 15, 2016

Buying a silencer is legal, (click here) and they are more rigorously regulated by the federal government than most guns. It can take nearly a year to go through all the legal channels to buy a silencer. It's such a pain that some potential buyers don't even bother to purchase one.
SilencerCo, a maker of silencers in West Valley City, Utah, has launched an unusual service for potential buyers called EasyTrust.
For a fee of $130, SilencerCo provides legal counsel to help customers leap the hurdles required for silencer approval....

There is no sport in silencers on guns. Sport hunting is about pitting a person's wit against that of instinct of game animals. Of course it is cruel to the animal, but, it exists and that is the reality. People who hunt do make use of the animal's meat, skin and other species identifying elements. That is survival and if the average American actually understood and appreciated that understanding of poverty; guns and hunting is an intricate answer answer to food supply.

Hunting is suppose to place the hunter and the hunted on ground with their own advantages to win their values. The hunted wants to live and thrive and the hunter wants the same thing more often than not. The hunt is suppose to be SPORT. That means there is actually a chance for the hunted to live. Adding silencers masks 'the hunt' and creates a blood bath.

Silencers are a danger to police as well. How is a police officer suppose to realize a killer with a gun when there is no sound to match the bullets? That is a legitimate concern. Silencers remove sport from hunting and increase the danger to citizens and police.

Voter ID laws are oppressing the freedom of people to participate in their government.

...They are measures intended (click here) to ensure that a registered voter is who he says he is and not an impersonator trying to cast a ballot in someone else’s name. The laws, most of which have been passed or strengthened in the last five years, require that registered voters show ID before they’re allowed to vote. Exactly what they need to show varies. Some states require a government-issued photo, while in others a current utility bill or bank statement is sufficient....

The unemployed in the USA have the greatest risk in any election. The unemployed may or may not have utility bills or bank statements. The proof of signature, which everyone is capable of (even with an witnessed X), is guaranteed. Lying has consequences. Either states believe in law and fraud statutes or they don't.

This report (click here) from the US Census includes the elections of 2014, show there are more non-voters than voters. There is something more here than lethargy about citizenship.

There are also voters who have registered and still don't vote. All those statistics are legitimate statistics to oppose voting laws until they are better researched and understood. There should be no reason to oppress the citizen vote in the USA. It should be expansive and inclusive with the least obstructive path while being vigilant for fraud.

Today, there are IDs required that are interrogated by computer across state and federal records at the moment of voting to impact the voter from participating. That is fact. That is today and it oppresses the vote through intimidation as if people are known to be criminal and simply have to be located.

I have a bus card with my ID and photo that was free to me. It was issued by a local government. It will be that ID that I will present at any opportunity to cast my vote. It cannot be interrogated via computer into a larger network.

Guns across the board have become deregulated in record numbers while citizens are oppressed from
voting to protect your own life by preventing militarization of a gun purchase in the USA.

That is corruption. It is corruption to encourage the purchase of weapons due to incredible "fear of living." It is corruption in removing CONSTITUTIONAL rights and demands for citizens to vote.

It is not only corruption, but, to 'design' laws or the lack of them to drive wealth to cronys is illegal. The government is suppose to serve and protect THE CITIZEN, not Wall Street. Laws or the lack of them that turn the USA streets into places of war is treason.

When people defame President Obama as promoting terrorist rights in the USA through permissive immigration policy are actually the terrorists looking for the opportunity to over throw the US government to establish a theocracy while demanding less and less regulated gun purchases.

The ever increasing danger by gun violence to citizens across the USA is directly linked to people's opportunity to vote or lack thereof.

There’s gun rights policy grid-lock (click here) in the nation’s capital, where the Administration keeps proposing restrictions on gun rights through executive action, and Congress members primarily introduce pro-gun bills.
But the several states are another matter. Five states this year have sharply eased gun carry regulations, improving gun rights for over 38 million residents, and many more potential visitors.
This year a number of states have passed legislation providing for broad liberalization of gun carry rules, aiming specifically at eliminating or reducing the need for permits…

There was no covert meeting.

Everyone is wrong about this. You don't see it? That should be a time to reflect. There is leveraging of power by the press for no real reason except gossip.

TRANSPARENCY.

The media and Americans are demanding transparency. President Obama has had more backlashes than any president in history because he promised and provided transparency.

Bill Clinton HAS A RIGHT TO MOVEMENT. There are no barriers to his enjoyment of life. He is a beloved President. He should be uninhibited in his expression.

Both former President Bill Clinton and current Attorney General Loretta Lynch have the right to meet when it happens to occur, all appearances of suspicion included. There is absolutely no doubt these two people visited in a plane with temperatures outside in the 100s.

They are completely transparent. There is nothing wrong. There is nothing illegal. Everyone looking to be the ultimate muckraker has no success here.

Bill Clinton has made a mess. (click here) It was either out of foolish indifference or plain foolishness, but it has created a terrible moment for his wife and the Democrats, and for President Obama and perceptions of the integrity of his administration.
Clinton’s private, unplanned meeting with Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch at the Phoenix airport last week, coming at a time when the Justice Department should be nearing completion of its examination of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server for her emails as secretary of state, will inevitably — and negatively — affect public attitudes about that investigation.
For a politician long praised for his political smarts, it was a striking error of judgment on Clinton’s part to walk to Lynch’s plane for any kind of conversation. It was a similarly huge lapse on the part of the attorney general, who was appointed by Clinton as a U.S. attorney in 1999, to allow him to come aboard for any kind of conversation....
