Governor McCrory has a very complimentary ad out for his re-election. Let's think a minute.

Governor McCrory once worked for Duke Power and receives substantial amounts of money for his campaign for Duke Power. We all remember the coal ash spill and the corruption that existed within the NCDNR with the McCrory administration.

How many North Carolinians realize there was corrupt legislation passed to insure Duke Power will never have problems with their profits again?

"The Duke Power Protection Act"

To no surprise, Governor Pat McCrory (click here) signed disastrous coal ash legislation into law late Friday afternoon, further stalling the cleanup of the state’s toxic coal ash mess. House Bill 630, more appropriately called the “Duke Energy Protection Act,” gives the utility monopoly even more time to leave poisonous coal ash waste in leaking pits. Every day that passes puts the health and safety of more and more North Carolinians at risk. Even more egregious, this bill undermines the more than 8,000 comments submitted by North Carolina citizens earlier this year urging leaders to remove all coal ash sitting near waterways and to label no community as low-risk...

The people of North Carolina are now saddled with contaminated water and the protections for Duke Power are nothing but corruption.
