Another lawsuit from the dysfunctional political right wing.

This decision expands civil rights in the USA. That is what defines the diversity of the American people. Heterosexual couples can still get married, Congratulations to them. Go have babies.

WASHINGTON — In a long-sought victory (click here) for the gay rights movement, the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that the Constitution guarantees a nationwide right to same-sex marriage.
Justice Anthony M. Kennedy wrote the majority opinion in the 5 to 4 decision. He was joined by the court’s four more liberal justices.
The decision, the culmination of decades of litigation and activism, came against the backdrop of fast-moving changes in public opinion, with polls indicating that most Americans now approve of same-sex marriage.
As in earlier civil rights cases, the Supreme Court had moved cautiously and methodically, laying careful judicial groundwork for a transformative decision.
As late as October, the justices ducked the issue, refusing to hear appeals from rulings allowing same-sex marriage in five states. That decision delivered a tacit victory for gay rights, immediately expanding the number of states with same-sex marriage to 24, along with the District of Columbia, up from 19....

Cyprus peace talks (click here) will enter a new phase on June 29 with the pursuit of building further trust between Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Presidency spokesman Barış Burcu said Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference in the TRNC capital of Lefkoşa, Burcu said: "The measures for developing trust should continue, that's the main principle. There is no need for new mistrustfulness, misunderstandings and conflicts".

The spokesman highlighted that Turkish Cypriots along with Turkey had a solution-oriented vision to resolve the Cyprus issue and hoped that the Greek Cypriot leader, Nicos Anastasiades, too would contribute in the talks by building a common vision....

NATO is also looking at a short fall of recruits from Great Britain. With that reality in Great Britain, recruiting needs to be careful to run back ground checks on anyone. With a short fall in goals comes a desperation to recruit all those that come to that opportunity. That would be a mistake. If anything UK needs to be very careful of their recruits. Close the loop. Make sure the security with recruits provides for national security and not national risk.

At this point, the DOD needs to be working with their Russian equals to potentially agree on some well placed bombs. Quite possibly smart bombs from USA assets. It would not hurt to talk to China to learn any intelligence they may have.
Israel is not being helpful as extremists carry out deaths in Kuwait and Tunisia. The Tunisia attack is a direct threat to Mediterranean Europe. I would pay attention to any tensions in Cypus. The US naval detachment in Italy should consider moving out to sea. It could be lusted after as another Cole.

Israeli politics is getting to be very difficult for everyone else.

This may have been their second choice.

France’s President (click here) says a suspect in what he called a “terrorist” attack at a gas factory in southeastern France has been arrested and identified.

Francois Hollande, speaking in Brussels, said one person was killed and two wounded in the attack, which began shortly before 10 a.m. local time on Friday when a car crashed the gate and plowed into gas canisters, touching off an explosion...

This could have been a lot worse. In the face of the deaths the terrorists did not succeed. Sympathy to families and friends of these brave French citizens. It could be they are dead because they stopped something far worse. They should be honored by the French people. "Air Products" is a well known company. They must have strong security measures.

French authorities (click here) said on Friday they had detected drones over two nuclear power plants, the latest in a baffling series of incidents across the country.
A spokesman for security forces said: “Drone-type machines overflew two nuclear plants during the night. They were detected by police in charge of protecting the plants and staff.”
“These machines were not neutralised because they did not represent a direct threat” to the nuclear facilities, the spokesman added.
National energy company EDF said on Wednesday it had identified seven drones flying over its plants this month and had filed a complaint with the police.
A spokeswoman for EDF confirmed the latest incident, which she said happened around 9pm local time over plants at Penly in northern France and Golfech in the southwest....
