While the nation takes a breath of relief, the Obama Administration pushes for war.

Russia has said it would change it's mind about Syria IF the agreements were broken or schedules were not honored. Today, there is no reason that is or will be the case. The USA is endangering more lives with complete withdrawal by Syria if it continues to cry and carry on about a war option.

I’m talking now theoretically and hypothetically, but if Russia becomes sure that [President] Assad, for example, is cheating, we might change our position. But so far we don’t have such evidence,” Sergey Ivanov, Kremlin Administration Chief said.

One resolution does not preclude another. Here we go with American politics and immorality, yet again. Kerry and Samantha Powers just can't keep their fingers off the trigger, can they?

The US is pushing Russia (click here) into approving a UN resolution that would allow for military intervention in Syria, in exchange for American support of Syria’s accession to OPCW, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

“Our American partners are starting to blackmail us: ‘If Russia does not support a resolution under Chapter 7, then we will withdraw our support for Syria’s entry into the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). This is a complete departure from what I agreed with Secretary of State John Kerry',” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Channel 1's Sunday Time program.

Chapter 7 of the UN charter would allow for potential military intervention in Syria.

Western countries blinded by 'Assad must go' attitude

The head of Russia’s Foreign Ministry went on to say he was surprised by the West’s “negligent” approach to the conflict...

People died. They died senseless deaths.

When is this nation going to realize why these deaths occurred? When is it going to come to terms with the merchanizing of death for the sake of profits? If no one was making money there would be profoundly different outcomes. The USA is a pitifully immoral nation. It prefers profit over life.

For those seeking information of a safe food supply there is a government agency that meets regularly to decide safe food policy. These are the current regulations.

The case with ISPM is that dates change with each publication and not whether or not there was a change within the regulation. Legal precedent has been abandoned for a moving baseline. There is literally no way of telling if the regulation was written today or 100 years ago.

...2013-08-26: The year of copyright for ISPM 15 has been changed to 2013: it changes every time that a modification to the entire ISPM text is made (including re-formatting of any parts of the standard). This is to keep track of all text and format modifications of an ISPM. On the other hand, the year of adoption remains 2009: a change to the year of adoption of an ISPM only occurs when the main text of the ISPM is modified....

The USA Standards are not a moving baseline. They are updated and recorded. There is a name, address and phone number at the bottom of the entry. The USDA - APHIS standards and regulations are an ongoing process without an end date. I suggest those so inclined take an interest and assist the USDA in upgrading the standards.

Some things never change. If they aren't dropping them on us, they are flying them over our heads.

And they tell us we need nuclear energy besides. Oh, they are safe. Yeah, right up to the point where they ain't.

Do we really need this on our planet? Do we? In our societies?

A secret document, published in declassified form for the first time by the Guardian today, reveals that the US Air Force came dramatically close to detonating an atom bomb over North Carolina that would have been 260 times more powerful than the device that devastated Hiroshima....

Where were YOU on January 23, 1961? We just inaugurated John F. Kennedy as President on the 20th and three days later this is what the taxpayer gets.  Oops. That is what we get, oops.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs was, General Lyman Louis Lemnitzer, he took office under Eisenhower, the man who gave us "Atoms for Peace." General Lemnitzer would take a command with NATO within the next year.

The Holiday Season is at hand. Hint for local economies.

Halloween happens in a few weeks, then Thanksgiving and before you know it the winter holidays have past.

Local economies should promote gift giving with the desire to purchase more in the future.

One of my favorite gifts to give at any dinner party I am invited is a bottle of wine, a favorite food garnish or jelly, including savory cooking jellies and/or an innovative local economy taste treat. When I bring these items with me I always bring the information to where my friends or family can order more.

Local economies should encourage communication with it's gift recipients on labels or tags. Word of mouth is how small empires are built and how local economies expand.

What I like about this label is the quaint and homey quality of it. The only thing missing is a quality statement about careful preparation of it's safety integrity. "Prepared in a certified kitchen." There are many wonderful chefs that prepare their products in 'shared commercial kitchens' and these kitchens are conducted according to legal standards. A label could easily be made to reflect the integrity of the product as well or even better than large commercial enterprises.

Small familes with small farms are needed to serve communities. SBA needs to seek out those looking to start these small businesses as well as traditional funding.

These animals are important animals and people knowledgeable to start these farms are important people. Start small and expand. Raising healthy animals as a food source can be experienced without going into huge debt.

These animals are high profit animals when raised in excellent conditions. The word 'start up cooperative' comes to mind.

Poverty sometimes lends itself to rural residents with few options. Seeding those impoverished with opportunities to learn to raise these animals is a viable idea. Start small, start with two birds for personal consumption and encourage growth with success. It sounds like a Non-Profit opportunity for qualified persons to carry out the programs.

What I find really interesting is that off duty police officers substituting in our educational system might have a use for these disasters on wheels.

This is really precious though. Ohio State University is in Columbus, Ohio.

Best I can find these are not for public sale, so they have to be brought to USA domestic government through arrangements. Those arrangements are probably made possible by US House members.

This is the US House member representing Columbus, Ohio. But, that isn't the best part. This is the best part.

U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) (click here) today announced his plan to give schools another tool when deciding how to best protect students from harm.  His bill would encourage off-duty law enforcement officers to substitute teach by allowing their substitute teaching wages to be tax-exempt.  This would provide the opportunity, within state substitute teaching requirements, for highly-trained, armed officials to be in schools at any given time....

Remember this plain crash? A private contractor? Right? Afghanistan. The cargo came loose.

3 June 2013

Investigators (click here) sifting through the wreckage of a Boeing 747-400 cargo plane that crashed in Afghanistan on April 29 have found that several of the straps used to tie down the 16-ton MRAP fighting vehicles broke after takeoff...

Guess what the cargo was? The military must be giving this stuff away. They cost plenty to build, about $700,00 each.

They are waste of military spending. The cargo was coming out of Afghanistan and being sent to Dubai.

????? Like what????? These were not deployed to protect American and/or Afghan forces? What happens here, the C-10 brings them in and then Karzai sells them to the highest bidder?

National Air Cargo Boeing 747-400 freighter on behalf of US Mobility Command, registration N949CA performing cargo flight N8-102 from Bagram (Afghanistan) to Dubai Al Maktoum (United Arab Emirates) with 7 crew and cargo consisting of 5 military vehicles, has crashed shortly after takeoff from Bagram Air Base's runway 03 at 15:30L (11:00Z) and erupted into flames near the end of the runway within the perimeter of the Air Base. All 7 crew are reported perished in the crash....

...On Jun 2nd 2013 accident investigators by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan reported in a press conference that quickly shifting cargo, consisting of three armored vehicles and two mine sweepers totalling at 80 tons of weight, caused the accident. The cargo slammed so hard at the back of the aircraft, that parts of the aircraft separated and wiring in the back was severed. As result of the shift and loss of aircraft parts the center of gravity moved so far back, that the attitude of the aircraft could no longer be controlled, the nose of the aircraft rose beyond the flying envelope of the aircraft and the aircraft stalled destroying the aircraft and killing all crew in the resulting impact. Parts of the aircraft, that separated as result of the initial load shift, were recovered from the runway. The straps used to tie down the cargo were recovered from the accident site, although charred they provided evidence of having fractured before final impact, it was unclear however, whether the fracture(s) had happened before or after takeoff.

The FAA had released a Safety Alert for Operators on May 20th 2013 regarding securing heavy vehicles in aircraft.

Cargo transporters needed guidance? They weren't qualified? The vehicles made it into Afghanistan just fine. This aircraft is not designed to carry these vehicles.

Police Harrassment

The reason this woman was harassed was for the sole intention of intimidation. There was no other reason. She was on a public right of way the entire time. The officer asked her if anyone was with her because he knew her defense was valid if there was a witness that could testify.

A citizen does not have to cooperate with a police investigation as guaranteed under the Fifth Amendment.

She is NOT GUILTY, but, they attempted entrapment anyway. The police should have told man who called to go to the court to file a complaint as there was no obvious evidence of misconduct at the time they arrived.

The owner/employee of the inhumane facility was obviously seeking inappropriate police power to intimidate. A person with compassion is allowed to seek the SAME POWER to facilitate their values as any other in this country.

Activists need to have two phones if they are using one to record events. The other phone to be used to be the first to call the police when they are confronted by people who harass them. In this case, the activist should have pressed charges for harassment by the facility owner.

Basically, he stays on his side of the fence and she stays on her. The police officer VALIDATED her correctness. There were no other questions for the officer to ask her. They should have left and allowed her to continue to carry out her activism. She was within the law.

Title 76 Utah Criminal Code

Where is this man's body armor?

How does anyone expect the Kenyan police in Nairobi to take on a network of international criminals without the proper equipment? Then the USA wonders why there is violence in these countries in Sub-Sahara Africa. Why would a reasonable police officer, with far less equipment and training then the criminals actually confront them?

This is ridiculous. This is not a neighborhood dispute, it is an attack in a shopping mall by international criminals.

Somalia's militant group al-Shabab claimed responsibility (click here): 'The attack at #WestgateMall is just a very tiny fraction of what Muslims in Somalia experience at the hands of Kenyan invaders.' The White House National Security Council has offered its 'full support' to the Kenyan government in bringing the perpetrators to justice....

The entire international community should be ashamed of themselves. The longevity of the average Kenyan is about 18 years old and there are international criminal organizations reeking havoc within the country. Well, no surprise here, now there? Poverty and crime go hand in hand no matter what level of crime it is. This time it just happens to be very bad guys.

How does the international community justify the lack of training and equipping of national and local police forces? How does any President of any country expect to stop the impoverishment in the country if the police are equipped and trained well enough to enforce the law and handle these networks of criminals?

Every country should be fully ashamed of itself, especially France whom claims so much good work in peacekeeping in Africa. Who are France's allies in Africa and why aren't they better trained and equipped? France can't get financial assistance from Wall Street? Wall Street can support funding for police and national stability in these countries, but, they want the USA to wage war so they can have what they want.

There is something extremely wrong here. There is no reason for any of these law enforcement agencies to be compromised if this disaster of crime is ever going to end.

The median age in Kenya is 18.8 years with a possible life expectancy of 57.9 years. If people die young, what is the sense of planning for the future or valuing a job and why not overthrow a government with the help of al Qaeda in hopes the life expectancy extends or there are better hospitals and medical facilities or clean water. Why not? If I came of age at 12 years old and only was going to live perhaps another 15 years or less , why not become a child soldier and get my kicks early and what would I care who I am affiliated with?

How many children in Kenya know what their national flag looks like and what it means? In the USA the national flag has a meaning and every star and every stripe represents the history and current status of the USA. How many children in Kenya know what their national flag means and who to pledge allegiance to before they join al Qaeda as a child soldier?

The number one result of child malnutrition in Kenya is stunting (click here). Thirty-five percent of the children in Kenya are considered moderate to severely stunted because of malnutrition. Now, how many are actually learning? Beastfeeding is the best nutrition a child has, it starts at birth and continues in 54% of the child population until the age of 2 or later.

Forty-one percent of the people in Kenya are still drinking substandard water. The best quality of water is found in urban settings and then there are still 18 percent that don't have access to improved quality water.

Only 23% of children are treated for malaria. Only 47% are sleeping under mosquito nets.

If a child is lucky enough to make it to the age of 15, he or she will have a 48% chance of receiving knowledge of HIV. It is possible to receive that information, too, since at the age of 15 there is a literacy rate of at least 92%. There is currently a 67% of males and 37% of females that use condoms to prevent HIV.

The gross domestic product per capita is $820.00 US and the Purchasing Power per Capita (which is different than GDP) is $1720.00 per capita.

PPP (Purchasing Power PARITY per Capita) is an estimate. It is not a direct measure of the quality of life of a person in a country. Using a PPP basis is arguably more useful when comparing generalized differences in living standards on the whole between nations because PPP takes into account the relative cost of living and the inflation rates of the countries, rather than using just exchange rates which may distort the real differences in income.

Kenya is ranked 153 by the World Bank and 158 by the International Monetary Fund. Is there any wonder why international criminal organizations such as al-Shabab or al-Qaeda can set up shop in Kenya?

What is the global community doing to correct the course of the nations of Sub-Sahara Africa? Because what every it is is AIN'T working.

Widespread violence followed the 2007 election when both Mwai Kibaki, who had won the presidency in 2002, and rival candidate Raila Odinga claimed victory. Months of negotiations resulted in a power-sharing arrangement. A new constitution was adopted in August 2010. In November 2011, Kenya launched a military incursion into southern Somalia in response to alleged terrorist activity and kidnappings. Kenya is the transportation, communication, and financial hub of East Africa. Economic growth, hindered for decades by government mismanagement, weak property rights, and corruption, was improving before the post-election instability in 2007 and has picked up again since 2009. The government employs about one-third of the formal labor force, and civil service reform has been slow. Nearly 80 percent of employment is informal. Agriculture (primarily subsistence agriculture) accounts for about a quarter of GDP and employs a majority of the population.

There are many living off small parcels of land. I use the word subsistence loosely because even though the land is farmed to feed those that live on it, the production of the land hardly feeds those in need. There is considerable food insecurity and it should be no surprise children have poor outcomes.

...Despite President Kibaki's (click here) pledge to tackle corruption, some donors estimated that up to $1bn had been lost to graft between 2002 and 2005.
Other pressing challenges include high unemployment, crime and poverty. Droughts frequently put millions of people at risk....

With severe droughts on a regular basis and their main export is dependent on agricultural outcomes there is complete understanding why Kenya fails it's people. Tourism had been a strong suit to the economy. The experience these nations have with oil production is more of a disaster than it is worth, but, it goes on anyway.

Kenya's chief exports are tea and coffee; fluctuations in their world prices and periodic droughts have tremendous economic impact......Kenya's population growth continually exceeds the rate of economic growth, resulting in large budget deficits and high unemployment. The country's well-developed transportation system has suffered from neglect in recent years.

Sub-sahara Africa is expected to fail all the time. The international community, while engaged, do not engage this region of the world with sincere success. This continent is expected to be over populated, under educated, impoverished and riddled with death and crime. This is chronic on this continent. Chronic. Nothing changes for the better? How are these nations ever to make the G20 into the G21 or the G22 if they haven't got a chance in the first place?

This shopping mall incident is retaliation within the war between Somalia and Kenya.
