The judge, U.S. District Judge William Conley, is an Obama appointee.

I guess it is easy to lie to benefit national GOP politics when he is no longer a candidate for Governor.

July 8, 2013

...On Monday, a federal judge (click here) granted a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of the part of the law that bans doctors who lack admitting privileges at nearby hospitals from performing abortions.
The lawsuit alleged that the requirement would unconstitutionally restrict the availability of abortions in the state, violates the U.S. Constitution’s due process guarantee and unconstitutionally treats doctors who perform abortions differently from those who perform other procedures.
Wisconsin’s Abortion Bill (Act 37) was signed into law Friday by Gov. Scott Walker....

The decision by Judge Conley is not made yet, but, at least we know he takes his responsibility toward women's health seriously.

"Situational Awareness"

There were several qualified people on the flight deck of the Super-jumbo. The question is why was the crew unaware of their physical attitude of the jet. While the NTSB investigation will result in a report in a year from now, the question being pounded at by the American media and those that want to create controversy and political wedge issues is, "The pilots were incompetent and what do we do about it?"

No one knows that is the case. All the people on the flight deck were not incompetent. Something went wrong with their situational awareness. The question still remains where was the disconnect between the flight deck crew and their knowledge of the attitude of the plane?

..Here are the most relevant details as presented and described by Ms. Hersman: (click here)

Flight 214 was approaching Runway 28 Left with its landing gear down and wing flaps set at 30 degrees. The approach speed – the “target speed” or speed to which the aircraft was to slow – was 137 knots. There was no cockpit discussion of any concerns or anomalies.

At 7 seconds before impact, someone in the cockpit called for an increase in speed....

The tail is the highest part of the Super-jumbo Boeing 777. It was the part of that hit the sea wall. The rest of the jet was positioned higher than the tail. This jet was a 777-200ER with a total length of 209.08 ft (63.73 m).

When the angle of attitude of the jet changes in the least amount at the point of the engines and wing flaps that translates into later angles at the nose and tail. A plane doesn't change angle at the nose, it changes it's angle of flight at the wings and flaps.

It takes a long distance to begin to move the jet from runway to flight without hitting the tail on the ground. I just think the alarm to the flight deck crew caused an angle change of the approach that compromised the flight.

The question remains what caused the compromise of the situational awareness of the flight deck crew?

July 8 (Reuters) - The following is a list of scheduled U.S. agency billsales
from Fannie Mae (click here)and Freddie Mac for 2013. Freddie Mac said
3-month and 6-month bills will be auctioned every week. In addition, 1-month
and 12-month auctions are optional each week.

Fannie Mae said 3-month, 6-month and 1-year may be auctioned on a weekly
basis and it has the option to skip any bill auction. If it elects not to issue a
scheduled offering, it will provide notice of its decision either prior to or on
the scheduled announcement date.

Wall Street is lusting after the American Dream again.

July 8, 2013
In recent months big and powerful hedge funds (click here) have descended on Washington, lobbying for Congress to revive Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored enterprises that have been operating out of conservatorship since the financial crisis. These hedge funds had purchased preferred shares of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the hopes that their value would skyrocket under a privatization scheme of the two mortgage giants. Some of these hedge funds even bought up some of the even more speculative common shares of Fannie and Freddie, penny stocks that trade on the over the counter bulletin board....

This is where it gets really interesting. Since their lobbying didn't prove to be profitable, they are suing the federal government to change legislation as the
result of the lawsuit. No monies to be exchanged, only CONTROL, power and
future exploitation of the American homeowner. They enjoyed it last time in
2008 and while lending to American small business is out of the question the want to ride the train of economic demise all over again for the same enormous returns they received last time.

Unbelievable. A lawsuit to actually take over the democratic process that has already occurred in the USA. Amazing. Are they delusional or what?

...On behalf of similarly situated investors, (click here) Olson's hedge fund

pursuant to a 2008 statute known as the Housing and Economic Recovery
Act (HERA). Here's the 39-page complaint, filed on Sunday in U.S. district
court in Washington D.C

Rather than seeking damages, Perry Capital seeks to block a 2012
amendment to a 2008 agreement in which the FHFA gave the Treasury
Department one million shares of preferred stock in both Fannie and
Freddie. Perry alleges that, through the so-called "sweep amendment," the
government is taking most of Fannie and Freddie's assets as if they were in receivership, thereby shortchanging private investors that banked on seeing a
positive return now that Fannie and Freddie are returning to profitability....

Israel’s Mobileye Adds Investors in Potential IPO Prelude (click here)

...Mobileye NV, a company whose Israeli-developed technology helps stop car accidents, added five investors, including U.S. global asset managers and a Chinese firm, in a $400 million sale of equity that is a step toward an initial public offering.
The transaction valued Amsterdam-based Mobileye at about $1.5 billion and is likely to close in August, the company said in an e-mailed statement today. It didn’t identify the new investors.
“This successful transaction is a testament to the strength of our business and the company’s future prospects,” Chief Executive Officer Ziv Aviram said in the statement.
Founded in 1999, Mobileye makes a chip and a system that alert drivers to pedestrians, unintended lane departure and speed limit violations among others. It can also execute active breaking to prevent an accident. General Motors Co. (GM) and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG are among the company’s customers.
The equity sale allowed early investors to exit and brought in more prominent stakeholders who can help the company move toward an IPO, said a shareholder, who asked not to be identified because the new investors haven’t been announced publicly....

The Past and the Possibilities - Israel wants peace. They don't want war. They don't even want war with Iran. Israel accepts their military necessity as a defense.

Morsi had his benefits. He was not interested in war either. The history of the Muslim Brotherhood has been radicalized because they were ostrasized. With Morsi gone it returns that void, although, the groups survive to still seek political seats in Egypt. Al Qaeda associates in the Sinai and economic deterioration, including sabotage of pipelines, was the real problem. It was the economics and social pressures that were adopted quickly causing the unrest. There were problems with Morsi's leadership.

"They accept as a fact the Brotherhood's long-term goal of Israel's destruction; in the short term, however, Morsi supported Israel's immediate security from the Gaza ceasefire to increased weapons-smuggling interdiction in Sinai," Gold noted.

Netanyahu's government saw Egypt's Islamist president as a potential friend, especially after the ouster of Mubarak, Israel's ex-"strategic treasure."

(Reuters) - An Israeli F16 warplane crashed (click here) at sea on Sunday due to an engine malfunction and Israel subsequently grounded all its F15 and F16 combat aircraft pending a review of the incident, a military spokesman said.

The pilot and navigator on board managed to safely bail out of the U.S.-made plane and a military rescue unit came to evacuate them by helicopter, the spokesman and Israeli media reports said.

"An F16 combat aircraft crashed earlier today in the sea after the engine malfunctioned," the spokesman said. He added that the air force commander had decided to "ground all F16 and F15 planes until circumstances of the incident are reviewed."

Israel's Channel 2 television said that the crash occurred off the coast of the Hamas Islamist-ruled Gaza Strip, a territory which also borders on Egypt.

Ten dead after Alaskan air taxi crash (click here)

July 8, 2013

US authorities say an air taxi has crashed at an airport in Alaska, killing all 10 people on board.

National Transportation Safety Board investigator Clint Johnson says the pilot and nine passengers were killed at Soldotna Airport on Sunday morning.
Meagan Peters of Alaska State Troopers says the fixed-wing aircraft was engulfed in flames before firefighters could get to the plane. The victims have not yet been identified.
Johnson says initial reports had the accident happening as the plane took off.
Flying across the vast northern state is common for Alaska residents, despite hazards including treacherous mountain passes and volatile weather.
The Soldotna crash comes a day after a far larger Asiana flight crashed at San Francisco's airport.

The girls in the Asisan Air loss, may have experienced injuries other than that of the crash. They were outside the plane. They didn't get there with help other than that of everyone else. They were found together.

July 8, 2013

A San Francisco-area coroner (click here) whose office received the bodies of two teenage victims of the Asiana plane crash says officials are conducting an autopsy to determine if one of the girls was run over and killed by a rescue vehicle.
San Mateo County Coroner Robert Foucrault says that senior San Francisco Fire Department officials notified him and his staff at the crash site that one of the 16-year-olds may have been struck on the runaway.

Foucrault says an autopsy he expects to be completed by Monday (Tuesday NZT) will involve determining whether the girl's death was caused by injuries suffered in the crash or "a secondary incident".

He says he did not get a close enough look at the victims on Saturday (local time) to know whether they had external injuries.

New Zealanders seek survival of their National Bird, the Kiwi. In all honesty, there are too many delicate species, including dolphins, to drill in New Zealand.

The survival (click here) of the most endangered kiwi species is being pinned on a feisty young kiwi chick which was released to its new home on a predator-free island today.
The unnamed rowi kiwi chick was flown by helicopter to Mana Island, off the coast of Wellington, following its discovery on Blumine Island in the Marlborough Sounds.
The chick is the first to be found on Blumine Island since five unproductive rowi kiwi pairs were transferred there from the West Coast two and half years ago, in the hope that the warmer climate and richer soils would encourage them to breed.
Conservationists say the survival of the rowi kiwi population, which stands at just 375, depends on the chick....

An albino weka (click here) has been sighted near Karamea.
It was photographed by Wayne Bird, of Little Wanganui, who says the pure white weka looks to be in good health and is possibly a full grown female.
It did not appear to have trouble with its vision and has only been seen at night fossicking for worms in the wet undergrowth.
Weka researcher Scott Freeman, of Westport, said although its rarity meant no one had studied albino weka before, it could have a lifespan of a normal weka.
Dr Freeman said the bird was the third confirmed albino weka on the West Coast and one of only a few on record.
However, it could be more prone to predation, especially from harrier hawks and possibly falcons, because it stood out starkly in open clearings or in patches of sparse undergrowth.
He said it would be nice if people could keep an eye out for the bird rather than try to capture it.

Rather than being a sound venture for capital, the oil industry turns to solicitation for approval.

It reminds me of racketeering. The more ensnared in the scheme the more likely it will override any objection.

This is investment through employment.

That ain't all.  "Now, you can own a piece of the action."

"Own an oil well." It is like adopt a whale only better.

That is called solicitous behavior. Taking in parties that sincerely are not investors and making their piece of the pie greater than they can imagine.

Both these solicitations have high risk, one health risks and one financial risk, but, one would never know it by the ads.(New Zealand Herald). The petroleum industry is trying to push their plans for offshore oil drilling. This is just another plan of deception of the dangers.
I have to congratulate the South Korean Asiana Air crew for their extreme care of their passengers. If they had not evacuated the passengers as quickly and effectively as they did, the triage by the American response teams would have been mute. Everyone worked together for an incredibly successful outcome for the passengers and their families. We mourn together the two we lost. Thank you.
The American media is picking and choosing the current facts about the Asiana Airlines crash and backing it up with past performance by the airline. They basically no nothing, but, it doesn't matter so long as the media lays the platform for Wall Street profits.

Here is a scenario that works for me, the plane was landing until the move to 'go around' when the crew was alarmed by an indication of engine stall so increasing airspeed to reacquire altitude the tail section goes down as the nose goes up. Got the picture?

I actually believe the pilot was doing just fine until the alarm and the co-pilot asked for altitude. So much for South Korean cabin dysfunction syndrome (Which of course American pilots don't have) of a paternalistic society theory.

The pilot didn't need to do anything except give the engines fuel 'enough' to prevent the stall so he could apply reverse engines and brakes.

But, that is all hindsight and anyone can do that. I look forward to the results of the NTSB unimpeded investigation.

You know two South Korean children died here, I would hope the bigotry would take a back seat to humility SOMEDAY.

Americans have a "Domination Syndrome" that likes, for social and political reasons of war, to make any incident that requires their humility to be inferior in thinking and priority. They don't know how or want to respect others with more benevolent and peaceful cultures. This incident is another example of "American Domination Syndrome" whereby attitudes and platitudes in a South Korean airline cabin were ineffectual and tragic.

And Wall Street loves the American Domination Syndrome for so many reasons including the fact destroying the land to benefit profits was such a good idea.
