Before Governor Perry makes a huge decision in proceeding with the victimization of Texas women, let me remind all about Roe v Wade.

Abortion has existed from the beginning of time. Abortion has existed since women became pregnant.

Roe v Wade did not start abortions in the USA.

Nor did Roe v Wade cause an increase in abortions.

Roe v Wade provided for regulation of abortions to MAKE THEM SAFE.

Roe v Wade has a populous name called "Choice." Choice means there is a choice in having an abortion and women don't have to die anymore.

Before Roe v Wade women died while having an a abortion. They died in clinics like the nightmare called The Gosnell Clinic.

Roe v Wade has saved the lives of women. Women that returned to their lives to uphold their dignity and care for their families. Oh, yes, women that have abortions have families and go on to have larger families.

Abortion is a WOMEN'S HEALTH ISSUE.

Abortion is about women, it is not about babies. It has never been about babies.

Abortion in the precedent of Roe v Wade has always been about women.

When state legislators trash abortion rights they aren't saving babies. That is a completely different subject.

When state legislators trash abortion rights they are providing greater dangers to women. It won't stop abortion, it will simply kill more women.
WENDY WE LOVE YOU !!!

You undoubtedly love the people you serve.

Go forward!

Seantor Grassley has inappropriate concerns about the Immigration Reform Bill.

Senator Grassley's biggest complaint about so called 'holes' in the legislation revolves around the topic of crime.

This is an immigration bill, it is not a crime bill. He offers no statistics to assign overwhelming concern to these 11 million people stating they are a problem within this country, therefore, should not be legal citizens.

The Immigration Reform Bill excludes anyone seeking citizenship that has a criminal record.

Additionally, the concerns over counterfeit visas and assigning criminal content to their manufacture belongs to Homeland Security. That is the place where accountability lies.

The Department of State (click here) issues visas to foreign nations seeking to visit or immigrate to the United States. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is charged with admitting persons seeking entry to the United States for short term visits or immigration. Immigrants to the United States will interact with the Department of Homeland Security to apply for Legal Permanent Residence (Green Cards) and during the naturalization process. The Departments of State and Homeland Security work cooperatively to ensure consistency and transparency in the administration of U.S. visa and border security and facilitation of travel.

Homeland Security can write regulations to bring this crime under control and I suggest they do so. But, to make criminal people in Mexico we would have to get our hands on to charge is a very difficult thing to do. If there are foreign problems such as that it belongs to The State Department. It is also up to other governments to mitigate those crimes under their laws. So, including measures to levy criminal charges of those manufacturing Visas and Passports outside the USA won't work.

Within the USA if there are those falsifying documents and selling them is something the USA criminal system could oversee and should. My guess that such fraud is being somewhat minimized is due to case loads and the realistic ways in which that can be dealt with in the criminal justice system. Senator Grassley can hold hearings with Justice to find statistics and methods to minimize the impact of such fraud. My suspicion is there is not a great deal of it to handle, but, I could be wrong and Senator Grassley's concern is 'the one document' that will cause the next 9/11.

As for terrorism. The 11 million already in the USA are worried about terrorism, too. They don't communities full of people willing to kill for the sake of a cause. They don't want underwear bombers or tennis shoe bombers or anyone else, so let's not assign these folks that identity. Additionally, these 11 million people can't be held responsible for the Boston Bombing or September 11, 2001. That was masculine identities connected with radicalism in former and distant homelands. None were from Mexico, okay?

At this point, Senator Grassley is starting to sound as though we are going to pull the plug on Grandma again. He needs to apologize to these folks and pass the legislation. We have brilliant young people longing to be an asset to the USA and I suggest he consider that identity the most prominent among this community.

Have a better day for the 32 that vote "No." Maybe you all need a vacation. Maybe to Mexico.

Grounds for appeal.

This illustration is simply a random example and has nothing to do with the Zimmerman trial in Florida. But, if there aren't official transcripts and there are obvious inconsistencies between the transcripts of the defense, prosecution and judge; that is basis for an appeal.

There can't be that much difference between what is stated by a witness. There can be some inconsistencies over time that is reasonable, but, the reaction of the witness alone is one of alarm to what the defense attorney is stating she said before.

My opinion is the this trial session should be adjourned until there are official transcripts ordered by the judge. Those transcripts need to be obtained from reliable sources the court determines accurate. At this point I think the transcripts are being tampered with and too inconsistent to be reliable in the trial.

The reason this is a hurdle is because the defense is attempting to make the witness appear to be unreliable and lying. There is something wrong here and it isn't entirely the witness that has the problem. I speculate the defense council is toying with the jury to manipulate their ability to discern facts from implied facts. This confusion with the witness is engineered. She is being taken advantage of in her naivety.

Rachel's testimony does not bode well for the Sanford African American community.

This is the face of poverty. Deep cultural and educational divides.

This testimony, in order to extract 'the truth' past 'the shame' takes a great deal of understanding, acceptance of the witnesses 'status,' and patience to work through what divides this witness from 'normal court status/demeanor.'

Her greatest enemy is 'shame.' She is ashamed of her lack of sophistication. She dresses up and does her hair to compensate for other deficits. Sorry this is hard to read, but, if those interested are to understand why Rachel appears to be deceptive and underhanded, one has to understand her status.

Rachel is not deliberately seeking to lie. She has a lot of ego defenses and getting past those no matter her willingness to be truthful is a maze. So, this is a new experience for her and she is having difficultly submitting to 'the shame' she feels about her status.

She is also anxious to move past this experience in her life because she is feeling her shame in a very deep and profound way. She also has to face in her mind of minds the fact her future has no promise. It is easy for her to live day to day without confronting her deficits, but, to face her future as she speaks through her deficits is a sincere and profound challenge for her. I have a great deal of empathy for Rachel. This is how profound racial issues still exist in the USA. If she is an example of the African American community in Florida, there is a long way to go.

For me this brings to mind the Voter ID issue. Imagine now, this lovely young woman seeking to have a Voter ID. She has to confront so much emotion to even permit herself to vote as she believes she is mostly unworthy, it would be near impossible for her emotionally to actually walk into a government office for application of a Voter ID. Those are my thoughts. The USA is not finished with it's racial issues.

In reflection of Trayvon Martin and his affection for her, knowing his parents and their love of their son, I can fully appreciate how wonderful a young African American man he was becoming. Imagine being the man that was able to reach into Rachel's life in a profound way to move her from her deficits to be the man in her life. Trayvon added enormous sophisticated prowess to Rachel's life. He made a difference in her life. He was a hell of a guy. He wasn't looking for perfection in his life; he was looking for purpose and Rachel was a profound purpose to him. Isn't that what life and relationships are all about. They were wonderful young people together with a great deal of potential. I like them a lot.

This African American Community in Florida have raised their families in a parallel world from the mainstream. That is not uncommon in a void of acceptance by the status quo.

African Americans of Sanford (click here) have served in the building of this great nation since their participation in the three Seminole Wars. They were a large part of the labor force that earned Sanford the distinction of “Celery Capital of the World.” The residents of Sanford and its surrounding communities of Goldsboro, Georgetown, Bookertown, and Midway/Canaan work tirelessly to nurture and protect their families...

As Crooms Academy (click here) confronts the role of preparing students for a high tech world, it emerges on the grounds of one of the oldest high schools in Seminole County. Founded in 1926 by Professor Crooms as Seminole County's first high school for black students, Crooms has a rich and varied past. Professor Crooms and his wife, Wealthy, donated the land on which the school was constructed. Under their guidance and teaching, many doctors, lawyers, teachers, and business people graduated from Crooms.

President Obama has an ally in the fight against poverty.

Theologians can be allies to diverse democracies. Their basic agendas are the same.

Pope Francis is the leader of the Catholic Church and his main focus is ending poverty in the world. He embraces the poor.

The Catholic Doctrine is not necessarily that of every person, but, his desire to end suffering is profound. Any leader of any government, big or small, can find consensus with religious leaders if they want to.

As a Vatican press release today reports, Francis said: (click here)

Poverty in the world is a scandal. In a world where there is so much wealth, so many resources to feed everyone, it is unfathomable that there are so many hungry children, that there are so many children without an education, so many poor persons. Poverty today is a cry. We all have to think if we can become a little poorer, all of us have to do this. How can I become a little poorer in order to be more like Jesus, who was the poor Teacher?”

First of all I want to tell you something, tell all you young persons: don't let yourselves be robbed of hope. Please, don't let it be stolen from you. The worldly spirit, wealth, the spirit of vanity, arrogance, and pride … all these things steal hope. Where do I find hope? In the poor Jesus, Jesus who made himself poor for us. And you spoke of poverty. Poverty calls us to sow hope. This seems a bit difficult to understand. I remember Fr. Arrupe [Father General of the Jesuits from 1965-1983] wrote a letter to the Society's centers for social research.

Look, you can't speak of poverty without having experience with the poor. You can't speak of poverty in the abstract: that doesn't exist. Poverty is the flesh of the poor Jesus, in that child who is hungry, in the one who is sick, in those unjust social structures. Go forward; look there upon the flesh of Jesus. But don't let well being rob you of hope, that spirit of well being that, in the end, leads you to becoming a nothing in life. Young persons should bet on their high ideals, that's my advice. But where do I find hope? In the flesh of Jesus who suffers and in true poverty. There is a connection between the two.

Why is Perry so persistent about this atrocity of a bill? Pure politics. National level politics.

...While standing (click here) during the filibuster, Davis wore pink running shoes. It was unclear whether the color was chosen because anti-abortion Republican feminists have been referred to as "pink elephants." In 2010, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin spoke of a "stampede of pink elephants," promising a movement of GOP women against abortion...

Hardline Right Wing politics has gotten harder since 2008. Their rhetoric is going to be based in bibles and not law because they want numbers in every legislature in the country, but, especially national legislature. The Right Wing wants to win and in order to win they need numbers to carry out the religious agenda of those willing to vote for it.

Perry was front and center during the past presidential debates. Texas has a burden of being the anchor of the Right Wing. Individual rights are nothing to the folks involved in these laws. Perry wants to get into the national race again and it would be egg on his face if Texas even allowed abortion. This isn't about anti-abortion, it is about the potential presidential possibilities of Rick Perry.

I'm just sayin'.

Article V of the USA Constitution
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

There is momentum to defeat all these oppressive laws. Now is the time and I am sure there are many cases in each state. It is time to put nails in coffins.

— 30: The number of states, (click here) including California, that ban same-sex marriage in their state constitutions. Ten states bar them under state laws. New Mexico law is silent on the issue.
