"Morning Papers" - Its Origins

The Rooster
"Okeydoke"

The Fifty-one vote majoirty is not a power play by the Democrats.  Not in the least and it should never be 'coined' in propaganda that way.

The Fifty-one majority of the Senate is returning the government back to the people.  There is nothing to say there can't be a 51 vote majority for a Republican bill, either.

The point is that the USA economy is struggling to breath.  While there have been stride made in securing improvements the Senate with a Republican presence of more than 40 members bows to Plutocratic goals which are not goals owned by the people of the USA.  Allowing the minority to continue to exploit the circumstances of the nation is not only morally "W"rong, but, political poison.

If the Senate continues to be a place where the American people are held hostage while they are seeking 'real people' that will liberate them from the struggle they now face, the Republicans will continue to rant 'If we had a majority and a President all the ills of the country would be solved."  That only leads to citizens believing they have done what is wrong for themselves and will cause a political shift that will be detrimental to the country.

By returning a simple majority to the Senate, the profound decisions will fall to the President, his power of the VETO will be evident and he can be viewed in his full capacity to lead, rather than to be manipulated by a political minority.

The 51 vote majority in the Senate has many, many reasons to exist.  One of the primary reasons though, is to dissolve the ability of Republicans to lie and deceive the electorate as if they are the hostages rather than the citizens being hostages to their ideologies.

The results of a minority GOP with power in the Senate is already being heard as a threat to the economic recovery of the USA.

While House economic advisor Austan Goolsbee (click here) drew early battle lines for 2011 in an interview with "This Week" on Sunday by saying that a refusal to raise the debt ceiling—per Tea Party urging—would inevitably lead to economic catastrophe. "This is not a game," Goolsbee told ABC's Jake Tapper....

And in complete opposition, the Extremist Graham, is again holding the country hostage.

Lindsey Graham Threatens US Default Unless Social Security Cut (click here)

GRAHAM: Well to not raise the debt ceiling could be a default of the United States on bond and treasury obligations. That would be very bad for the position of the United States in the world at large but this is an opportunity to make sure that government is changing its spending ways.
I will not vote for the debt ceiling increase until I see a plan in place that will deal with our long term debt obligations starting with Social Security,...

Now, if the nation is willing to be toyed with, at least a segment of the Democrats are willing to allow that to happen.  Holding the nation hostage to bring about 'debt resolution' by attacking Social Security, Medicare and demanding military spending be insured in Afghanistan along with American military deaths is not a clear defintion of DEMOCRACY.  Graham is attempting intimidation for the sake of politics.

The people of the USA do not need intimidation tactics, they need real solutions with a government that can move through effective legislation.

This is an example of what to expect for the next two years.  It is political suicide for the Democrats and puts the USA 'on the rocks' unable to wether some a crisis.

The 51 vote majority in the Senate dissolves the power of the Plutocracy and provides opportunity for the change President Obama promised.
