Karl Rove claims waterboarding made the USA safer. It is a political statement and not a reality statement.


The most dangerous terrorists after those of September 11, 2001 have come out of Yemen, the very place the Bush Administration released Gitmo detainees.

George Bush's former long-time adviser Karl Rove has claimed the torture techniques used on terror suspects under the last White House administration helped avert a succession of attacks.
Mr Rove said he was "proud" of the waterboarding of terror suspects, despite the technique, which simulates a drowning sensation, being outlawed by Barack Obama last year and a broad consensus on the fact it amounts to torture....

The reaity is that Mobley was an opertive for al Qaeda, working in Yemen to plan attacks involving nuclear plants. Regardless of how much propaganda Rove wants to pedal he cannot claim the Bush Administration made the USA far more safe as reflected by the policies and wrongful war. The Bush Administration placed the USA directly in harms way for all its use of the military and lack of focus on national security by dismantling al Qaeda and increasing the scepticism and hate of the USA.
